Hardscape Foreman

Responsibilities

• A Hardscape Foreman oversees the construction of outdoor spaces, managing teams to install hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Responsibilities include project planning, team coordination, and ensuring quality standards.​

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of hardscape crew members

• Ensure that safety procedures are followed at all times

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and construction documents

• Estimate materials and labor needed for each job project

• Communicate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met

• Train and mentor new crew members

• Operate and maintain tools and equipment

• Ensure that projects are completed within the given timeline and budget

Requirements

• 3-5 years or more knowledge and experience in hardscaping, including but not limited to construction of retaining walls, patios, walkways, and other outdoor features

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs, and to provide feedback and suggestions for improvement

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team of workers and communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality, with the ability to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards

• Physical fitness and the ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with the ability to travel to job sites throughout the region

• Familiarity with and adherence to all safety regulations and best practices, with the ability to ensure that all workers are properly trained and equipped

• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changing schedules and priorities as needed

Hardscape Tech 

Responsiblilties​

• Build Patios, gazebo and much, much more

• Pavement systems

• Retaining walls

• Water features

• Low-voltage lighting

• insatll utilities

• Concrete, carpentry and stonework

• Install interlocking paver patios

• Install stones, wood, or segmental block retaining walls

• Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain-saws, clippers and pruning saws 

• Transplanting, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, spraying, constructing and mowing for landscape maintenance 

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to assist with landscape constructions 

• Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and bulbs 

• Weed, prune and trim trees and plants ​​

• Pour Concrete wet or dry

Requirements

•  11th Grade minumum High School education, diploma, or GED(willing to pursue higher Ed.

• Proven experience as a Hardscape Installer, Aquascaping, Softscaping or similar role.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.

• Excellent knowledge of construction methods and landscaping techniques.

• Good physical condition and stamina.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is a definite plus.

• Punctual and Good Character

• Work as team player

• Must have  2 references (1) educational (1) professional

• Able to pass a drug testing and background check

• Valid driver license
